Yesterday I was playing around in Picasa and I decided to move some images from one album into my Google Profile Photos Album. Upon returning to Google+, I noticed that if you click on my main profile image, it will rotate to the next one.
I think this is a great feature that Facebook really could have used.
In order to make this feature work, you need to move more images into your Profile Photos Album. Unfortunately you can only add one at a time in Google+ right now.

That image you just added will be your default photo and if you click on it from your profile tab, it will rotate to the older photo.
In order to add multiple photos at once need to go to Picasa, a Google owned photo sharing service and organize your photos there.

It should now be highlighted in blue:

When you return to Google+ and click on your profile picture from the profile tab your photos will now rotate!

It seems every time I visit this site, I get hooked on a series of pages and can't leave.
I wonder if the 2-picture toggle was intended to show "overview" and "closeup" of you. At any rate, it can be used for that purpose as well.
