Apple’s WWDC 2014 – Reaction to Annoucements [Video]

Apple recently held their annual World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) for 2014 and announced a number of new products such as iOS 8 and OS X 10.10 Yosemite.

The WWDC is a developer conference held spring by Apple geared towards developers and usually including a number of updates to their library of software and operating systems.

This year was no exception as Apple announced a number of new features to both their desktop operating system and their mobile operating system.

As the video above explains, here are some of the highlight topics covered at the 2014 Apple WWDC:

  1. OS X 10.10 Yosemite
  2. iCloud Drive
  3. Answering phone calls on the computer
  4. Enhanced Spotlight searching
  5. iOS 8
  6. Health Kit
  7. Predictive Text
  8. iMessage Enhancements

One of the most important announcements made by Apple at WWDC 2014, in my opinion, is the new Health Kit. Apple’s Health Kit App and API will allow users to track their health including blood pressure and heart rate. The Health Kit will also allow developers to program their own health related devices that can collet data and organize it all in one place – the Health Kit.

Not specifically mentioned in the video above are the number of changes Apple has made to make developing apps and iOS peripherals much easier. Apple released a new programming language called Swift which will make programming more efficient and secure than before.

I’d love to hear what your thoughts are about Apple’s announcements at WWDC 2014 in the comments section below!

As always, if you find this video helpful, I would really appreciate a thumbs up and you may also want to think about subscribing to my YouTube channel.
