Rust – Turn Grass Off with Command [Video]

Knowing how to turn the grass off in Rust is a great tip for new players because it allows you to see resources, structures and other players more easily.

Turning the grass off in Rust doesn’t change any of the sound that occurs when you’re walking or running through grass but it will definitely improve your field of vision.

As shown in the video above, the grass can be turn off with a simple command in the Rust console.

To access the Rust console, press F1 or function F1 while in game. Once the console pops up, simply type:

grass.on false

If you decide later on that you would actually like the grass to be displayed while in game, go ahead and open the Rust console again and type:

grass.on true

I’ve been publishing a number of helpful tips and tutorials related to playing Rust so make sure you check out my Rust tips playlist on YouTube which I’ve linked above.

I’d also love to hear any suggestions for future Rust videos in the comments section below!
