    Hello,

what happens if there is no green button that says get timeline… I am logged into my fb account and then navigated to www.facebook.com/timeline and it goes to what I see on your video but there is no green button next to the "aps" link…

    ??? uggg

@Dawn, upon reading your comment, I did an experiment. If I am not logged into Facebook and visit http://www.facebook.com/about/timeline, I see the green Get Timeline on the bottom right of the page. If I am logged into Facebook and don't yet have Timeline, the green Get Timeline appears. If I am logged into Facebook and I already have Timeline, the green Get Timeline does not appear.

A suggestion: Log off Facebook, visit http://www.facebook.com/about/timeline to see if the green Get Timeline appears (it should). Maybe you already have Timeline. Hope this helps you diagnose what might be the problem.

    1. Loren says:

Dawn is correct: MANY Facebook account holders CANNOT get Timeline still, as of February 10, 2012. Redundancy abounds with me-too's preaching how to get Timeline but NO ONE with a clue why some CANNOT.

  3. Derek says:

I am interested in making this, but first I would like to make sure there is a way to delete it if I don't like it. Is there a way to delete it?

  4. Anson Alexander says:

    Derek,

Once you have Timeline there is no way to get rid of it but everyone is going to get it within the next couple weeks anyways so you might as well get it first and get acclimated.

I entered the http://www.facebook.com/about/timeline recommendation while signed out. I click on "get timeline". It makes me sign in to FB. Still, nothing happens. Am I missing a piece?

Same problem here. I'm on FB for 3 weeks now but still don't have the famous "green button" on the Timeline page. If I log off I see the button, if I click it ask me to log on then redirect me on the same "timeline" page… and still no "green button" ?!! It's very very strange that even new accounts on FB are not automatically switched on the new design eh ?

I keep trying but if someone find a way to activate the timeline I'm interested !

    Thanks !

I empathize with the people who cannot obtain the Facebook Timeline. Isn't it amazing how these modern-era mega-companies on the Internet can push out compelling products (though they have flaws) to attract a ginormous number of people to earn themselves huge profits and an insane valuation (http://this1that1whatever.com/money/facebook-valuation-history.php) AND then offer no customer support?

  8. Marie says:

Why complain…you have 2 choices…either get used to it or leave…it's as simple as that. No uses in whining and complaining. They will do what they want anyway. I'm looking forward to timeline. Half my contacts have it and the other half don't. Any ideas Anson when we will get it? I don' have the green button whe I visit the timeline page.

    1. Anson Alexander says:

      Marie,

There doesn't seem to be any pattern in who receive the Timeline update and who doesn't. I know Facebook is slowly rolling it out as they have with other updates but for now you'll just have to wait. I would expect everyone to receive the update within the next couple weeks.
