There are a couple of different ways to find the full path for a file on Mac OS X.

If you just need the file’s path for a single situation, you can right click on the file and then click “get info”. In the window that pops up, the file’s full path will be display under “where” in the “General” section of the information window.

If you’d like the full path of a file to always be displayed when you’re using Finder on you computer running Mac OS X, you can open a new Finder window, click on the “view” menu at the top of the screen and click on “Show Path Bar”.

After clicking on this option, the full path of a file or folder will always be displayed at the bottom of your Finder window.

You can even right click on one of the folders in the path bar and open that specific location.
