“Account Temporarily Unavailable. We expect this to be resolved shortly. Please try again in a few minutes.”
This is a Facebook site error message that users have been seeing lately. There currently doesn’t seem to be anything that the user can do to resolve the error. It is most likely an error or overload on Facebook’s servers and would need to be resolved on Facebook end.
I tried the following steps to resolve the problem.
- Cleared cache and cookies of browser
- Tried using a different browser
- Tried restarting computer
The issue seemed to become less frequent and almost go away entirely about 15 minutes after it began so it sounds like Facebook was aware of the issue.

If you want to notify Facebook of a problem you’re having with the website, you can click on the drop-down arrow in the top right of the screen and choose the “Report a Problem” option to provide Facebook with some details of the error you’re experiencing.
