Pinterest User Activity – Busiest Time
Pinterest has steadily been climbing the latter as one of the most popular social media platforms so far in 2012.
Due to this increase in popularity, internet marketers are starting to ask the question:
“When is the best time to pin an image to Pinterest?”
To determine the answer to this question, it is important to discover when Pinterest is receiving the most user activity or, in other words, what time day is the busiest on Pinterest.

When I first began researching to find the answer to this question, I found it difficult to find. Luckily, I found an article on SEOmoz.com regarding marketing strategies on Pinterest.
One of the sections in the article touches upon the busiest time on Pinterest. SEOmoz claims that user activity on Pinterest peaks between 5-7am EST and 5-7pm EST.
SEOmoz explains that these are the busiest times because users are checking their Pinterest boards both before and after work.
Based on that information, SEOmoz suggests that marketers pin to Pinterest an hour before each of those times so that your pin will already be available for users logging in at peak times.
Therefore, the best time to post to Pinterest is around 4am EST and 4pm EST.
