I was recently sent a very interesting infographic created by ZippyCart.com. The infographic presents a lot of information about the age-old stereotype, the geek.
I personally consider myself a geek and it seems I’m headed down the right path as, according to the infographic, being a professional blogger is in the top 3 in geek related career choices!
The infographic also provides us with a very informative overview of the top e-commerce geeks to emerge in the last decade. This list includes the likes of Jeff Bazos (Amazon), Pierre Morad Omidyar (Ebay) and Reed Hastings (Netflix).
Two of the more interesting bits of information provided by the infographic, in my opinion, are:
- Geeks are more comfortable being identified as geeks than nerds are comfortable of being nerds.
- 66% of people between the ages of 18-35 consider being a geek a positive thing- Yay!
The only area of the infographic that I am disappointed in, is that there is no information provided as to where these statistics came from. That being said, read between the lines, comment on here with your thoughts and send the link to all your geek friends for them to get a good laugh!
