Over the past few weeks, Apple has come under a lot of scrutiny over harsh working conditions at some of their manufacturing plants – specifically the Foxconn motherboard plant in Shenzhen, China.
Although it is important to understand that there are many social, economic and cultural differences between the United States and China, many people feel that Apple is ethically wrong in allowing production to continue at some of their less healthy manufacturing plants.
An infographic (posted below) was recently published by OnlineMBAPrograms.org that highlights the most negative aspects of Apple’s manufacturing plants.

Before you take a look at the infographic, remember that you must always read between the lines and not take everything for its face value.
The economic conditions in China are such that an employee in China making just $1 or $2 an hour at an Apple manufacturing plant, is making significantly more money than they would in many traditional industries.
