The Facebook IPO price per share has finally announced on the Facebook blog today.
According to the Facebook newsroom article, Facebook stock will begin trading at $38 per share.
Facebook will be traded on the NASDAQ market using the ticker “FB” – go figure!
The IPO will begin with 421,233,615 shares of common stock available on Friday, May 18, 2012.

The Facebook IPO is the second largest in US history (only to VISA) and the largest tech IPO ever – according to Mashable.
The Facebook IPO is a bit controversial as some people wonder whether Facebook will be able to generate enough revenue to satisfy investors.
There has also been a lot of controversy over the Facebook Timeline update which has been rolling out since January.
It will be interesting to see how Facebook fares over the next 12 months.
