If you’re using a desktop version of Microsoft’s Skype, you can easily share your screen with other users when you are in a video chat with them.
This is very useful for business situations and for collaborating on projects.
The above video shows you the steps needed to share your screen using a desktop version of Skype on Mac OS and a mobile version of Skype on iOS. The process shown is also the same on other operating systems that feature a desktop version of Skype.
If you prefer text-based instruction, you can also follow the steps below.
To Share Your Screen with Someone on Skype:
- Start a video chat with the person.
- Click on the + button towards the bottom middle of your screen.
- Select “Share screen” from the options that appear.
- Choose the screen (if using multiple monitors) that you would like to share.
As of the publishing of this video, there is no feature to share the screen of your mobile device with another Skype user. You can, however, send pictures and videos from a mobile device during a Skype video chat.
