Gmail Account Hacked Compromised Help

If your Gmail / Google account has been hacked or compromised, the video above provides helpful recovery steps and let’s you know what you can do to protect your account.

One of the primary signs that your Gmail account has been hacked is when contacts of yours report that you’ve sent them strange emails asking form money or linking to a weird website.

If this occurs, the first thing you should do is change your password immediately and then check to see if your account has been accessed from an odd location. You can check when your account has been accessed from by viewing your account activity at the lower right side of your Gmail account.

If you suspect your Gmail account has been compromised, there are also some important settings to check to ensure that hackers have not granted themselves access to your email account or configured your emails to be forwarded to one of their accounts.

It is also important to think about any confidential information that may have been kept or saved in your email account and do your best to protect it. This may include calling banks or at least monitoring the activity on your credit cards closely.
