My Facebook Timeline wall is blank and no posts are showing up!
This is a problem that a lot of Facebook Timeline users have been experiencing lately. It seems that Timeline is full of bugs.
Update (05/17/2012):
Thanks to a comment by one of my readers, we’ve been able to find a workaround to this issue.
If you’ve created “interest groups” and are experiencing a blank homepage, delete all of your interest groups and then refresh your profile (some users have reported that you only need to delete a few interest groups). It should now display correctly.
Interest groups are different from friends groups. To find them, find the very last section in the left sidebar of your homepage. See the image below:
Obviously, if you’ve been heavily using interest lists, you may not want to delete them but it will solve the problem!

Solutions to having a blank Facebook Timeline wall:
1. Enable Secure Browsing in Facebook
This is the most common solution to the blank Facebook Timeline problem and is relatively easy to implement:
- Log in to Facebook.
- Access your “account settings” by clicking on the dropdown list next to the “Home” button.
- Click on the “Security” tab of the settings screen, click “edit” in the “Secure Browsing” section and make sure the checkbox is checked.
- If you do not see results right away, log out of your Facebook account and then back in.
2. Clear Your Browser Cache
This is a simple troubleshooting technique that can be used in many situations. If the first solution didn’t work for you, trying clear your browsers cookies and cache and then check and see if the problem is still occurring.
3. Do Not Use Internet Explorer
Many Internet Explorer users are reporting that the blank Facebook wall problem is resolved when switching to another web browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
Internet Explorer has been one of the worst browsers for a few years now and, even if you’re not experiencing this problem, I would recommend moving away from it.
